COACHES REQUIREMENTS:

For National Judges Cup

• Please review all the gymnast qualifications & procedures with your registered Level 7 athletes and their parents BEFORE arriving at the Judges Cup. This avoids putting parents and gymnasts in uncomfortable positions.

• We are restricting the number of qualifying gymnasts to only the top six (6) athletes receiving a minimum of a 36.00 AA regardless of age. Alternates will not be used.

• Coaches must commit to attending the National Judges Cup immediately following the competition.

• A check made out to NAWGJ-NYN in the amount of $110 per qualifying athlete must submitted immediately following the competition.

• Qualifying athletes must turn in the Athlete Bio Form immediately following the competition.

• Qualifying athletes must provide a photo to be included in the National Judges Cup Program immediately following the competition. (Jpeg format only please)

• Please Note: Due to a limited time frame, ONLY qualifying athletes that turn in all paperwork, picture and payment immediately following the competition will be measured for athletic attire. 

TEAM COMPETITION FORMAT:

• Qualifying athletes will compete for team NY-N but will be divided into two (2) groups selected by the National Judges Cup Meet Director, consisting of three (3) athletes per group.

• Each group of three (3) gymnasts compete in a different "gym" at a different time judged by different judges.

• The scores achieved by each group are combined to determine placement in the team competition. This process is done to keep the integrity of the team results. 

• NAWGJ-NYN has no input in the selection of these groups or the format of the competitions.

• It will be the responsibility of the coaches to insure they have enough staff to accommodate this format.

• NAWGJ-NYN will pay the team registration for entry into the Level 7 team competition if required.

• Due to time constraints for custom apparel, all athletes attire will be shipped to the participating club with the most qualifying athletes. That club will be responsible for coordinating the distribution of the attire upon arrival at the National Judges Cup.

• Please have all qualifying gymnasts' names (with correct spelling), USAG #'s and correct birthdates available immediately following the Level 7 competition. These are needed to complete the registration into the team competition.
